Check out some of our all-time favorite beaches to visit in the area. Whether you prefer lots of action or a quiet wilderness experience, West Michigan offers a beach for you.
Looking for a quiet scenic beach getaway? Hoffmaster State Park in Muskegon offers just that. With a dog-friendly shoreline, this beach is the perfect spot to sink your toes in the Michigan sand. Plus, you can make a day out of your trip to the beach and check out the Muskegon Museum of Art and Michigan’s Adventure Amusement & Water Park.
How about a beach with a scenic lighthouse? Try South Beach Park in South Haven! Take in all the golden sand and bright red lighthouse as the most popular of the South Haven beaches. When you’re wrapped up at the beach, you can take a walk along the channel boardwalk to the lively downtown of South Haven.
If you are from the Grand Haven area you know beach days are taken seriously when summertime rolls around. Grand Haven State Park is just a light walk from the downtown area, making it the perfect stop after your morning brunch. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even climb the dunes at the end of the beach for panoramic views overlooking all of the park’s natural beauty.
